HO HO HO Here we go… It’s that time again!

It’s that time again, and I always enjoy cozying up with my computer to begin my gift guide. Every year I work with some outstanding brands, some old, some new, and I’m excited to share a few with you. Janet Gunn and Melissa Meyers are back with some more sartorial guidance. The stylish Los Angeles–based duo recently shared with us the flat shoe trends they’re going to be opting for instead of heels this season. Next up, we thought we’d dive deeper into their stance on various basics and other versatile items.

Both Gunn and Meyers rely on basics to balance out their day-to-day ensembles. While they have go-to pieces they won’t give up due to their easy-to-style nature, there are some simple pieces they probably won’t wear as much this season given their somewhat outdated feeling. In terms of shoes, the silhouette that reigned supreme were flat, chunky styles. Given that comfort is of utmost importance these days with a focus on relaxed fashion, it’s no surprise that a flat shoe made it to the top of the list. On that note, we thought we’d ask Gunn and Meyers for a full edit of the flat shoes they’re gravitating towards this spring.

While we do still wear heels from time to time (mainly lower or chunkier heels), we’re going to start trading in some of those heels for the flat shoes coming your way.
